Hi, I’m Kelly
I help authors feel energised, thriving, confident, and empowered to shape their author career and future, so they can focus on writing their books and enjoying life as an author.

I have been connected to books throughout my working life.
I started as a bookseller and fell in love with sharing books that I thought others would like.
From there I moved into publishing, and have held senior marketing roles in two of the biggest UK publishers, working with authors as varied as Stephen King, Jodi Picoult and Philippa Gregory as well as many debut authors and non-fiction authors.
I also worked for a few years on a major women’s magazine brand but even there books were a key part of my work as I organised author events, books clubs and book content.
After starting my family, I focused on working directly with authors to build their confidence and skills in marketing themselves and building their own audiences, particularly on social media.
Whilst I still do have limited spaces to offer

this support, I discovered something else through working with authors in this way. I realised that there are many challenges that can cause stress and worry and stop you from enjoying your author career beyond knowing how to market your book.
I saw how complex and unique the industry can seem from the outside.
I discovered how lonely the experience can be (something I can identify with as someone working on my own, for myself), how precarious it can feel and how difficult it can sometimes feel to raise concerns if you are worried about how that will impact your career.
I also realised how hard it can feel to step into being the ‘CEO’ of your author career.
That is when I realised that my passion lies in supporting authors like you to thrive throughout your author career so that you can keep putting your books into the world.
I offer independent and confidential coaching support to empower you to take charge of and enjoy your author career.
With a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities of the publishing world, I bring a unique blend of practical guidance and emotional support.
I hold two coaching qualifications and am accredited by the International Coaching Federation meaning that as well as my publishing experience you can be confident and trust in my ability and skills to support you.
If you are struggling, or facing challenges in your author career and want to resolve those and move forward positively, I can help.
