Hello and welcome.
As a coach I work with established authors to help them build and maintain a resilient, confident and positive mindset so they continue to thrive in their author career.
I also work with authors to help them get confident in marketing their books, particularly, but not exclusively, on social media.
Are you here because you have lost your way with your writing?
Maybe your self belief is feeling a bit shaky at the moment.
You’re so busy watching what everyone else is doing, or seeing the new shiny authors hot on your heels, that you can’t focus on your own work at the moment?
Maybe it’s overwhelm with everything you need to do and a lack of energy, and motivation, for getting it done.
I am so glad you’ve found me as I can help.
Do you need help knowing how to use social media to market your book?
Do you want to work with someone who can help you think creatively and effectively about how to market your book?
Do you want to create marketing content that feels good and speaks to your target audience?
Hi, I’m Kelly
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love books, or love telling people about books. I was born to promote books and to help authors.
I have worked in the marketing departments of some of the biggest UK publishers, and on the marketing strategies and campaigns for major brand name authors like Stephen King, Jodi Picoult and Philippa Gregory, as well as debut writers. I’ve marketed books in almost every area. I’ve also worked in magazine publishing, but kept the connection with books organising author events, writing competitions and reading groups for the brand!
I’ve managed big spend ad campaigns, promoted books with no budget, organised sales conferences, pitched to retailers and so much more.
Now my focus is to support authors directly, whether that’s guiding them through how to promote themselves and their books or working with them to shift any mindset blocks that are in their way.
I have had extensive training in social media and social media advertising and am a member of several professional communities to keep my skills up to date. My coaching accreditation is with the Institute of Leadership & Management, and I personally invest in ongoing coaching for myself too because I know the impact and difference coaching can make.
In short I am a very safe and encouraging pair of hands if you need that extra support.
‘I turned to Kelly during a difficult moment in my career when for various reasons – both personal and professional – I found myself lacking focus and feeling like my best achievements were behind me.
Over a series of weeks, Kelly worked with me as a coach and mentor to establish a more positive and productive mindset.
The work we have done together has transformed my creative output and self-confidence. Kelly has given me tools to help me quiet that voice of doubt in the back of my head and encouraged not just healthier work patterns, but wider life habits that I know I will use in the future.
Kelly is a calm, kind and skilful coach who really does bring out the best in people. If you are struggling with confidence, direction or motivation I can highly recommend her.’
‘Kelly Weekes is more than a marketing mentor; she is an avid supporter of your work and she wants you to achieve your goals. Kelly takes the time to get to know her clients, their personalities, and thinks of ways to help them represent themselves in a way that is true to them; working with her is a wonderfully empowering experience.‘

“Kelly helped me on the launch of my first novel “The Curious Rise of Alex Lazarus” and was a delight to work with her.
She is very knowledgeable (and wise!) on all aspects of digital marketing and a brilliant and creative guide in formulating and executing a strategy. She is organised, a brilliant communicator and above all an amazing coach and cheerleader. I could not recommend her highly enough.”
